Does a dishwasher deserve its own scrap journal page? In my Thankful 30 journal, it absolutely does!
Day 5 is all about appreciating an everyday convenience. There are plenty I could choose, but the first thing that came to mind was my dishwasher. Washing dishes by hand is one of my least favorite chores, so I’m happy to give this hardworking appliance a little recognition!
Today’s Prompt
“What everyday convenience are you grateful for?”
It’s easy to overlook the things that make our daily routines easier. A washing machine, a coffee maker, or a dishwasher might not usually appear in our scrap journals, but these ordinary details help tell the story of our lives.
My Day 5 Scrap Journal Page
For this page, I used a black, white, and gray palette to complement my dishwasher photo. Layered photo mats help the picture stand out against the black background.
The “Clean Home,” “Routine,” and “It’s Time to Do the Thing” embellishments bring a little humor to the page. A short journaling block records my answer to the prompt—and my feelings about washing dishes by hand!
This is a simple reminder that a memory keeping page doesn’t need a special occasion. Sometimes the everyday things are worth documenting, too.
