Choosing just one favorite meal or recipe? That’s a tough assignment!
For Day 6 of my Thankful 30 Scrap Journal series, I’m celebrating several favorites—from a warm chocolate chip muffin to my mother-in-law’s breakfast casserole. Food is part of our everyday story, and these are details I’m happy to preserve.
Today’s Prompt
“What is your favorite meal or recipe?”
Your answer could be a treasured family recipe, a favorite restaurant meal, or something simple you enjoy at home. You can choose one or, like me, make room for a few!
My Day 6 Scrap Journal Page
My page features four favorites: a warm chocolate chip muffin, my mother-in-law’s breakfast casserole, a steak dinner with mac and cheese, and breakfast for dinner.
I paired the food photos with individual journaling labels so each favorite has its own place on the page. A neutral textured background and warm golden accents bring the photos and labels together.
You don’t need a long story for every photo. Sometimes naming a favorite is enough to capture a little piece of who you are right now.
Preserving Food Memories
We often document celebrations and vacations, but our favorite foods deserve attention, too. A page like this can preserve family traditions, personal tastes, and the everyday meals we look forward to.
If you’re documenting a family recipe, you could also include who makes it or why it’s special to you.
