Hello Everyone,

Welcome to another Papercraft Star weekly challenge! Here is the information on this week’s challenge:

Scraplift ANY project on ANY of our current Papercraft Star Creative Team Member's blogs. You can see a list of all of our Creative Team Members right here. Be sure to add a link (or tell us) what Designer and what project you scraplifted from in your personal blog post so we can check it out!

I decided to "scrap-lift" a layout sketch from the wonderfully talented Kristina! HERE is the sketch I chose to copy and here is my layout. I hope you enjoy it.

The subject of my layout is Cricut Bug Byrd - my best friend Sandy's cute little dog. I combined her cute photo with the layout sketch from Kristina's blog and some adorable Cosmo Cricket paper.

Here is a close up of the title and the sweet designs of the paper.

Follow the guidelines above and post your project to the Papercraft Star site beginning today, Wednesday, January 26, 2011. You have until Saturday at midnight to get your project posted. Voting begins after midnight on Saturday and runs through Monday. The winning project is announced on the site on Tuesday! Good luck to everyone and happy crafting!

Operation Write Home

Monday, January 24, 2011

Hello my crafty friends.

This post is really just an advertisement for Operation Write Home. I just received my annual notice telling me how many cards I made for them in the prior year and thought it would be a good time to give them a plug! BTW, my total cards made for 2010 was 564! That really makes me feel good. Other than my contributions to my church and the local food bank, OWH is my main charitable cause so I am always eager to spread the word about them.

I would like to encourage anyone who likes to make cards but has stopped as they don't have anyone to send them to who would appreciate them. I know there are a lot of you out there. I guarantee that the soldiers and their family/friends who receive them will DEFINITELY appreciate them. If you are interested in finding out more please go to this link. If you want to find out about the current cards that are needed go HERE.

Here are the annual deadlines for those who like to plan ahead:

Jan 7 - Valentines
Feb 10 - St Patricks - read special note!
March 18 - Easter
March 31 - Mother's Day
April 15 - Graduation
May 21 - Father's Day May 31 - Independence Day
July 31 - Back to school
Sept 16 - Halloween
Sept 30 - Thanksgiving
Oct 31 - Christmas
Nov 30 - AnyHero Christmas

I hope you all consider Operation Write Home next time you have a bunch of cards lying around and no one to send them to. As always, have a wonderful week and happy crafting!

Would you consider nominating me? Pretty please?

Thursday, January 20, 2011

Hello Everyone,

I am a huge Cosmo Cricket fan and I was even featured on their blog during Cowboy Week HERE. Well, there is a contest underway that would give me an opportunity  to join the Cosmo Cricket design team. WOWZA, would that be a spectacular opportunity or what? A dream come true for me really. But, in order for me to have a chance I need some help. I need to be nominated. The top 10 people who are nominated will be featured on their blog and then voted on by the followers of the Cosmo Cricket blog.

To nominate me, go to the blog page by clicking HERE and add a comment that says you want to nominate me and paste in my blog site (www.tradefishdesigns.com). I would appreciate any support I could get...thanks so much!!!

Have a fantastic day!

For this challenge I chose to do a scrapbook page highlighting a wonderful digital stamp from Pink Cat Studios called Lily in Heart Pile.
