You & Me Scrapbook Layout

Thursday, March 11, 2010

Here is the layout I tried to post yesterday that would not work. This is a one page project that was taken from a pre-packaged scrapbook kit.  This is an example of  what I do with these types of kits. I like to buy them when I go to the CK Convention in Charlotte. I buy somewhere around 4-5 and then I get another 5 or so in the classes that I attend and can never finish (because they never give you enough time). I tend to open the kit and throw away the instructions and see what I come up with on my own.

This kit came with some chipboard (the bracket and tag) which I covered with coordinating paper and distressed with blue ink.  The flower in the paper to the left is actually cut from the base page which allows me to slide the yellow base page underneath. I used the thin brown ribbon for the tag and the picture. Then I used some colored twine and wrapped it around  the bracket.

The final touch is the title which is taken from the Gypsy Wanderings cart. I ran the cut through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder. I finished it off by dragging my blue ink pad across the bumps to enhance the texture.

My next post will be another fun card highlighting the Gypsy Wanderings cartridge.
