Today's project is a simple birthday or special event card. The cupcake coordinates with the cute cupcake background paper. I cut the cupcake out at 3 1/2" using my Cricut Sweet Treats Cartridge. The stamp is from CTMH and the brown scallop border was created using a punch from Stampin' Up. I used my white gel pen to outline the cupcake and help it pop. I also added the white gel pen on my popped up "cherry" to add a highlight. The second photo is a side view of the card which should show the dimension by popping up the cupcake as well as texture with the cute pink ribbon. A little distressing around all the edges softened up the card nicely.
I must admit that I don't normally use my Cricut much to cut out images to layer on cards but lately the few I have done have turned out well...inspiring me to do more. More cards and fun layouts will be coming so come back and check out the website or become a follower to stay up to date on the new projects I post.
Have a wonderful evening and happy crafting!

Really cute "C"! I love the detail using the white gel pen. I need to use mine more often. I also thought the cherry was a brad at first and the white accent was the glare from it. Keep them coming! Awesome job!!
